African Network:

The African Network plays a pivotal role in experience sharing as well as in opening up opportunities to duplicate activities that were proven successful. This network is built to avail information, share experience as well as share resources regarding HIV/AIDS. In addition, through this Network, training and capacity building for Media professionals as well as for individuals working on HIV is made available.

To date, various modest programs have been implanted in the following countries:

• Congo – Brazzaville: Soup Kitchen program for mothers living with HIV combined with a tutoring program for children who have lost one or both parents to AIDS.

• Congo – Kinshasa: Capacity building of associations of persons living with HIV/AIDS and South South collaboration with an existing local NGO providing food supplies to persons living with HIV.

• Zambia – Lusaka: Community program to teach life skills and income generating activities to adolescents who have lost one or both parents to AIDS.

• Cameroon – Yaoundé: Support to 100 girls and boys who have lost parents to AIDS.
